WHAT IF I HAVE TO CANCEL OR CANT MAKE IT?

 

Less than 24 hour notice will result in a charge equal to 50% of the reserved service amount discussed in the quote and the $50 booking fee is non-refundable. “NO SHOWS” will be charged 100% of the reserved service amount as discussed in the quote.

 

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

 

Depending on the design and amount of coverage, a body paint session could take a few minutes or several hours. A simple one-color, air-brushed stencil could be done in a snap, whereas a full-body, very detailed design could take a 2-3 hours. Front Torso we try to limit our clients to 1to 1.5 hours and makeup 30-45 minutes. Give or take a few, it depends on all shapes, sizes and the clients wants, needs, and the communication with the artist.

 

WILL THE PAINT RUB OFF?

 

We use cinema-quality, professional body paint that won’t flake, crack, rub off, or smear. It only takes a few minutes to dry, and once dry, you can touch it, hug people, and even throw on light, soft clothing over it.  Just follow the rules though of NO oil or moisturizer, everyones skin is different (some people sweat more than others).  However we are more than happy to touch up if you swing back by!

 

HOW LONG DOES IT STAY?

 

If you follow our directions and your skin is free of lotion or oil, the paint should last all day/night. However, all skin types are different, and the paint does need to be treated with relative care.

 

 

IS IT HARD TO REMOVE BODY PAINT?

 

Soap or a bath is good, but try not to leave any paint in your hotel bathroom / Jacuzzi / or Pool.  If any paint is unable to completely come off the skin, use rubbing alcohol or baby oil.

 

WHAT KIND OF PAINT DO YOU USE?

 

BODY ART OF KEY WEST  prides itself on using only the highest-quality, professional grade body paint that’s safe for skin and non-toxic. Depending on the needs of the job, we’ll either use an alcohol-based or a water-based paint. The alcohol-based paint lasts longer and takes longer to remove, whereas the water-based paint comes off very easily with soap and water. Water-based paint is always our choice for children and pregnant women. Alcohol-based paint is preferred for event models, performers, and go-go dancers.

 

WHAT DESIGN SHOULD I GET?

 

You can start by looking through our galleries of photos for inspiration, or do an image search online. You can upload reference pictures of body paint you like to our e-mail mandarobinson@yahoo.com.  Or you can describe for us what you want, and we’ll try to replicate it. Although we can copy designs from pictures, we prefer to custom-make a unique design for every job. Still not sure? Let us know the theme of your event, your company colors and/or logo, your favorite color, things you like, etc., and we can help you brainstorm or design it all for you! 

 

CAN I GO OUT ONTO DUVAL STREET AND WEAR NOTHING ?

 

You can NOT go out in public wearing only body paint or you will be breaking indecent exposure laws. Unfortunately, paint is not considered clothing, so pasties and thong underwear are the minimum coverage allowed. We always provide pasties with your paint, and we will advise you on the proper underwear to bring.  It only takes one grumpy police officer to ruin your night, and sadly we have no control over them! Please be aware you are being painted at your own risk.  Ladies, please bring nude, black or white, or matching thing to your desired bottoms that can be disguised in paint.  

 

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO ON THE DAY OF BODY PAINTING?

 

Ladies come with shaved skin, men with trimmed body hair, and NO OIL OR LOTION on your body. This is very important as it will affect the paint’s adhesion! 

 

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED, WILL YOU COME TO ME?

 

BODY ART OF KEY WEST is perfectly located right downtown next to Duval street at 310 DUVAL ST. Next to Carolines Cafe where you can get plenty of food and drinks!!  Getting prepped with us can be part of the fun. But if you prefer the privacy of your home or hotel room we will travel within Key West for a small additional travel fee of $100.00.  

 

DO YOU TRAVEL OUTSIDE OF KEY WEST?

 

Our crew will travel anywhere in the world if expenses are paid. If Local $100 Set up fee in the Key West area, outside of Key West will require an additional travel fee depending on location.
